Why Ancient Prescribed The Gyan Mudra While Meditation?
The Gyan Mudra and technique of focusing in the middle of eyebrows prescribed by our ancients because they found a way where they believed in sharpening the knife before using it! Since the name of Mudra is considered as Gyana Mudra (Gyan means knowledge, Mudra means Posture).
In ancient times, before teaching anything and putting any things into the mind, they believed in making the brain fertilize enough to implant a higher level of knowledge in it. In today's time where we just trying to fill minds with everything without expanding the limits of minds, with such limited ability after some time brain stops receiving things.
Gyan Mudra can trigger your biological system in such a way where you'll be able to enhance concentration towards every single thing you will come across.
This Mudra helps in increasing concentration. In the most concentrated state of mind, your grasping power increases the most. You observe things better, you focus better and you tend to learn things better!
To learn anything better, you need concentration. To make your mind concentrated, this Gyan Mudra is been used!
In many circumstances, if you're unable to concentrate in any situation, just try to concentrate or just be conscious about the middle portion between your eyebrows and you'll feel that suddenly you have started gaining the slight amount of concentrated state of mind.
That is the reason we have a culture of putting a Tilak on the forehead in the middle of eyebrows. A slight constant touch between the eyebrows makes the mind constant alert, focused, and concentrated. This does not require any proofs, you can just try these things practically and just be conscious about it and you will see that drastic change in your concentration level.
Meditation is a journey of self-realization where you learn a lot of things about yourself, about your connection with this universe. Therefore, if you wish to begin with the Meditation, begin with the Gyan Mudra which can trigger your biological system in such a way where you'll be able to enhance concentration towards every single thing you will come across while meditating.
